Registration Desk
The registration desk will be located in the main foyer of the National Convention Centre outside the main plenary room and exhibition area and will be open for the duration of the meeting.

Included in the registration fee for ARA Members in Training. This is open to current trainees and those within 2 years of graduation i.e. a 5 year span. Other ARA members are not eligible to attend.

Poster Tours
Guided tours of the basic science and clinical posters will be run from 1.05-1.55 pm on Sunday and Monday. There is no need to pre-register but you will need to collect your poster tour voucher from 7 am each morning of the meeting on the day that you wish to attend as the number of participants will be limited.

Australian Institute of Sport Afternoon Tour

A tour of the Australian Institute of Sport and Mini-Symposium on Sports Medicine
will be held on Monday afternoon of the meeting. N.B. Limit on booking of 1 per person to a maximum of 70 participants.

Meeting Structure
Commencing 0800hrs on the 16th and concluding at 1400hrs on the 17th May
International guests will include -

Dr Susanne Benseler, Rheumatologist from the Hospital of Sick Children Toronto Canada
National guests will include –
Dr Craig Munns, Endocrinologist from the Children's Hospital at Westmead, Sydney NSW
In addition to this there will be a dedicated half day break-out meeting for Allied Health and Nursing delegates
Registration Information
The Registration Fee will be $350 for each delegate with no discounts available for trainees or other groups. The registration fee will cover :
• 2 nights accommodation at The Hyatt Hotel (15th and 16th May)
• The conference dinner to be held in the Member's Dining Room of Old Government House on the evening of the 16th May
• All refreshments and lunches for both days of the meeting
Accompanying persons for the Conference Dinner will be asked to pay $100 and delegates will need to negotiate terms for accommodating accompanying family etc with the Hotel themselves and there will be additional costs payable.
All transport costs will need to be paid by delegates. A full meeting Agenda will be available to attendees in February 2012
This meeting is possible through the sponsorship of Abbott, Genzyme and Roche who will also attend the meeting.
Cancellations
Cancellations must be advised in writing to the Conference Secretariat by 16 March 2012. There is an $110 cancellation fee. Refunds will only be issued in exceptional circumstances after this date, but substitute delegates are acceptable.
Payment of Fees
Payment can be made by credit card (via secure online registration only) or by personal or organisation cheque. Please make cheques in Australian Dollars payable to: Australian Rheumatology Association.
All registrations will be acknowledged in writing. If you do not receive a written acknowledgement upon the completion of your online registration, please contact the Secretariat to ensure that your details have been received.
We suggest you make a copy of this form for your own records. Registrations will only be acknowledged once payment has been received.
Federal Goods & Services Tax (GST)
Australia has a Federal Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 10%. Overseas delegates are not exempt from paying this tax. All fees and costs quoted in the brochure are GST inclusive. The Australian Rheumatology Association is registered for GST - the ABN is 16 002 876 520. Upon payment online you will receive a tax invoice.
Liability
In case of industrial disruption or other external events causing disruption to the meeting, the Local Organising Committee, the ARA and the Meeting Managers of the Annual Scientific Meeting accepts no responsibility for loss of monies incurred by delegates.
Privacy
Personal information, as defined under the national privacy legislation, The Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2001, will be treated in accordance with the National Privacy Principles and only shared with related or third parties in accordance with those principles.

Included in full and student registration. Additional tickets for accompanying persons can be purchased at $50. All delegates must indicate on the registration form whether they will be attending this function.
Mother’s Day Drinks

This Mother’s Day Drinks has been designed with families in mind and there will be some child-friendly activities on offer during the networking drinks.

Annual Conference Dinner

Time: 6.30 pm - Coaches depart from the National Convention Centre, Crowne Plaza and Novotel Canberra.

Venue: Great Hall, Parliament House
Cost: $120 per ticket
The conference dinner will be held in the Great Hall at Parliament House. The prestigious Great Hall is one of Australia’s most impressive settings, with a soaring ceiling and polished wood floors against a backdrop of the famous Arthur Boyd tapestry. Delegates will arrive to the spectacular Marble Hall for pre-dinner drinks before dining in one of the Australia’s must-see venues.
